http://childrensmusicworkshop.com/ A website very useful no necessarily for teaching, but I’ve found a lot of tools useful as a music educator including help with instrument maintenance and grants.

www.dci.org I have sent numerous students to this site for information on Drum Corps…especially the DCI fan network which provides archived audio and video of over 20 years of Drum Corps performances.

http://www.philtulga.com/ This site has a lot of activities and lesson plans specializing in cross-curriculum education (something big in NJ right now).

http://library.thinkquest.org/15413/games/games.htm
A website providing some simple music theory games and activities for students

http://www.hotfrets.com/songanator.asp
A website that provides pre-generated chord progressions in various styles. All the student has to do is pick and choose then play along.

It is very straightforward, and I like how it focuses specifically around the orchestra, including links to what kind of of concerts and events are happening for kids and parents in SF and with the orchestra. I also liked the radio portion of the website because it gives a unique playlist of orchestra music for kids to listen to.
